the main appeal of A$AP Rocky to me is his ability to flip from style to style as he pleases and sound good doing (almost) all of it.
like the GTA V song, "R Cali", I had no idea that was even an A$AP Rocky song for most of the game.
His album was nowhere near as good as the mixtape...but I don't know, I'd rather say Rocky can't write than he can't rap. 'Cause that bullshit on "Wassup" sounds like really nice bullshit. And there's the random deviations like "Houston Old Head" or "Leaf" (by Main Attrakionz).

Nah, he has style, personality, bravado, is in tune with latest trends
But he's a C-level rapper on his best day
The "flip his style" thing is just him biting whatever needs to be bitten to have a hit, which I am NOT MAD AT. He's doing what he gotta do to make bread.
But he's not a good rapper.

LOL. He can't write raps. He might be able to freestyle off the top of his head. But the songs where he is spitting actual material...he's C-level at best (and that's honestly a compliment)
