FW16: After Migration.

1st half of XXX was mostly drinking, drugs, and women. 2nd half was introspective stuff

so with "old" he may give us the street/lyrical/psychedelic/rappity-rap songs ("odb", "side a") in the 1st half and then the 2nd half will have the molly/pussy/party joints ("dip")

that song is nasty btw

Get off that cartoonish, loose-mouthed, bullshit style he's been stuck
on the last few times I heard him... sounding like Daffy Duck after getting
hit in the head with an anvil while his eyes swirl around in his head.
Really good to hear him rapping like he's conscious again.
More of aggressiveness from "Pac Blood", "Nowhere To Go", "Blunt Afta Blunt", etc.

This beat is too ill. Add that to Danny Brown rapping like he has sense, and that's
some of my favorite shit in the world. This reminds me why I was on the verge
of crowning him my current favorite rapper.

With Danny, it just seems that you have to give him a dope beat and it'll bring the best out of him. Also, I didn't know Paul White had this kind of heat in him. Most of his stuff was always a little too obtuse for me. This one still has that weird feel but is straightforward enough that it works. He found the right balance, finally. I can see more placements in his future after this one.

As for Danny, he KILLED it! I've been waiting for him to do his thing and stop relying on all the fluff for promotion.

Also, I REALLY didn't like ODB, unlike most in this post. The beat is too strong for me to even decipher what Danny is saying and really wasn't my taste.

But this is definitely a step in the right direction.

Come to grips with the fact that most OKP's are of the Nut Hugger lineage, so, if you' re not part of the little cliques that exist 'round here, your posts will probably tank like Souljaboy's album sales.
