dude is good but not in Lupe's league IMO. Maybe his words get lost with the boring delivery sometimes.

Lupe has more depth from what I can tell. I have to rewind his verses almost everytime to catch new shit. As a listener, this can be tiring and I've realized exceptional depth is not that important to me.

Blu has a boring delivery sometimes but when he's on, he's on. He's more poetic to me. Talks about Female relations without the cringeworthy corny shit (Drake) and has the level of depth to where I'm mentally fulfilled without having to double back. Blu also has a better voice and more appealing (to me) beats.

Unless we have a bunch of footage of both of them spitting in a cypher then aren't we judging them on how they spit in songs?

Like you really can't just talk about mofos bar for bar. It has to be yeah he got it bar for bar, but his music isn't as good. I specifically told you I didn't care about that, but you just had to make sure that was known. Special LOL @ teef for talking about Blu's poetic way with rapping for bitches.

Yall woulda tapped out so early before rappers made 'songs'.

considering you couldn't find a link of a parallel to Blu's 'poetic words for the female gender' before 1980 if you tried. Go ahead, I dare ya.

And transparent with your agenda, I almost wrote "AND don't bring up find phootage pre '84" in my OG reply. You're like a more nuanced and in depth version of Philpot sometimes

Again you assume I'm one of those songs means this and that most rap is just rapping over a beat and not songs... wrong.

I'll also assume you forget all the exchanges we've had about afro-futurism, sun-ra, fusion era jazz, and one of the 10heads in your Co Flow, Elucid and Freestlye Fellowship post

Anyway my point was bars and songs are not mutually exclusive, and thinking rap is only about bars is especially archiac. Your idea to pull up phootage from an era where emcees were appendages/accessories to the dj and where there to make the crowd rock with wit and charisma, something heads with bars with shit stage shows couldn't do. Is kinda confusing

>And transparent with your agenda.

Intentionally so. But who's agenda posting now? A nigga asked who's the best bar for bar and you're using that as a platform to expose my agenda?

>I almost wrote "AND don't
>bring up find phootage pre '84" in my OG reply.

Because you knew what you said was full of shit?

>You're like a
>more nuanced and in depth version of Philpot sometimes

No disrespect to philpot, but don't compare me to anyone on here, especially if you have to qualify it with more nuanced and in depth version. LOL!!

>Again you assume I'm one of those songs means this and that

Nigga, I replied to your subject line reply to me. The fuck we gotta go back through our exchange history for?

>Anyway my point was bars and songs are not mutually exclusive,

Fuck if they aren't.

>and thinking rap is only about bars is especially archiac.

Did I say that was *ALL* that rap is about? FOH dun!!

>Your idea to pull up phootage from an era where emcees were
>appendages/accessories to the dj and where there to make the
>crowd rock with wit and charisma, something heads with bars
>with shit stage shows couldn't do. Is kinda confusing

Sorry but those sentences were confusing. All I know is you said the shit Blu do was being done from the jump, and I said prove it. You can't, now you worried about agendas.

And don't get me wrong, I think the replies in here are underestimating Blu a lot. When he's on his let me show these mofo's I can kill a verse shit, he can kill. But he also make a bunch of raps for the bitches. On the other hand, Lupe really don't be on that killin MC's shit. He may not be rappin for bitches as much, but almost everything he writes is content dependent.

So if I were gonna gauge bar for bar (which incidentally is the practice of trading lines bar for bar until one motherfucker backs down) I might have to put my money on Blu. Has nothing to do with who writes better songs or anything else.

One- I'll compare you to whoever the fuck I want
Two- I didn't say shit about Blu and poetical bitches rap, that was Teef. I said niggas been talkin bout "bitchesc AND/OR for "bitches" since raps birth. Blu being all poetical maybe leans towards the forms "progression" or change, maybe not, but it seems to be a sore spot for you
Three- first gen emcees aim was to rock the party with or for the dj and to get pussy after their show, when they battled it was to embarrass the other rapper. As recording the form came into play more rappers have what, songs for or about "bitches". Clear enough for you
Four- lastly, I def get where you coming from now THAT YOU FUCN EXPLAINED URSELF ESOTERIC WONDER, and bar for bar I'm still going Lupe, but you right Blu does have killer emcee shit in him
