as a follow-up to SWING MOBBIN': SOUNDS FROM DA BASSMENT (https://soundcloud.com/confessionsofacurlymind/mistaveepresents-swingmobbin-soundsfromdabassment), i now present to y'all the best of The Superfriends era, a continuation of Da Bassment styles and aesthetics that Tim, Missy, Playa, Magoo, Ginuwine, Tweet & Aaliyah (as core members) took to the masses. these are the works of prolific and highly creative artists who first helped BIRTH this sound in the confines of the studio, and later unleashed it onto an unsuspecting populace, what has come to be known as "the Timbaland sound/style". from my research into Da Bassment crew, we know this was a collaborative effort (but with Tim being one of the chief main architects). as much as Tim was integral, so was Missy, and Static (which is why you'lll see/hear them pop up more often than most). these 3 alone are forces of fucking nature. but with THEIR combined efforts PLUS the rest of the crew? we get to enjoy a slew of classic 90s/2000s recordings that have aged supremely well.

majority of these songs u will recognise, some u may not. i know some of the BIGGER hits arent on here, these are just a selection of my personal favs.
