"AM - Arctic Monkeys"

Is anyone listening to this? The release is tomorrow, but it's up streaming on iTunes, so I assume there's been drips already. But It's excellent. I haven't seen anything but hyperbole in it's description so take it as you will, but it's definitely better than Suck It & See, & goes back down the darker, heavier, road that came with Humbug.

They continue to mature in sound, & every record has been slightly different, but there hasn't been a straight up bomb yet. Anybody else get into it yet?

Cause at this point it's like Nadal and Novak, they're both at the top of the game as far as this kind of rock sound is concerned.

I still can't decide if i like this sound more than they're older, more driving garage sound, but I do know one thing, this fool Alex Turner has a f*cking knack for songwriting.

But that's no knock on AM, I think it's great and I like the direction they took here with the heavier sound. They're really one of the better bands out now, and Alex Turner has turned out to be a great songwriter.

I was dubious about the direction that they were taking, but everything that was initially released fits so well in the context of the album.

I like the growth they've shown in their music and Alex seems to be getting better and better as a songwriter. This will be in rotation for a while.
