because those tapes were ONLY a few months ago Maxx...If you said those things about Bruno before the second album came out I wouldn't be on u this hard...

But Bruno's second joint was already out...Videos rolled out...Live performances given...And u still shitted on him....Nothing really changed...Except that u found out the kid was a MJ STAN...

He wasn't a fan when he made that post, now he is. I doubt he really took the time to listen to him at that point, figured he was just like the other manufactured top 40 artists and found out dude actually has some talent. Plus his MJ influence and think he also R Kelly was so there is that. lol

I came around to Bruno myself, still haven't checked out a full album but realize seeing him perform live on award shows etc and some of his melodies catch, he's talented. Crazy thing, I don't think he has "that song" yet, but dude has sold 10 million albums worldwide in an era that is hard to sell so must be hitting with the youth. I ain't mad at this choice, figured it would be John Mayer or Jay-Z.

That (new) Bruno album was already out, Mack...Dude had already dropped two singles and two full videos....He had already performed on the Grammy's ect...He was in full promotion of that album....And Maxx was hating hard then...

The only thing that changed was the kid doing an MJ impersonation on SNL...That's when Maxx started "liking" Bruno...That's when he changed his mind...

Trust me...I already know that Mars is better than what a lot of Lesson folks think, especially when I saw him on that tour with Janelle Monae...He was KILLING the stage...

If Maxx wants to dap up a mainstream act that's actually talented, I'm more than down...

Just don't bullshit with the truth...lol...And don't use said act to beat other acts over the head when just a few months ago you were saying Mars was little more than a lounge singer...

i mean yeah maxxx be full of shit. but i do think he actually changed his mind about the kid regardless of what the catalyst for that change of heart was. it is funny because of his prior position, but at this point, he wants to ride hard for the kid he can do that. and it's only par for the course for him to then pit his choice against others.

nothing he's doing is out of maxx character, even the flip flop, so giving him shit for it months down the road... i don't think it's necessary any more.

that said i still think bruno is a half ass songwriter, and nobody has done anything to convince me otherwise. so hyperbolic praise on that end of things should not slide. he's got the performance thing down. not my thing but i won't knock it. super bowl seems like the perfect stage for him imo. but i usually turn off super bowl half time shows. i even missed janet's nip live

Bruno is a talented performer, I'm not quite sure his songs are big enough for that stage, but I'll be rooting for him.
