he was being a jerk about being in the clip, on some "mysterious" ish, which they took as LL just acting mad Hollywood after his (don't call it a) comeback. And they were especially pissed cause he used a bit of the EPMD/Hit Squad swag to pull off his return to prominence. They were the hottest ticket from the East Coast in '89-'90 as far as street cred, excitement, the swag, slang, fashion and especially the songs/beats.
