but the coda at the end, while well done and ambitious with a great trumpet solo, doesn't jibe with the theme of the song and seems tacked on a bit. I know it was purposefully disjointed, but why? to express what exactly?
Still, all in all great smoking music. Thanks for the link star.

I agree with all of this. I need to listen to this on my speakers at home. Gonna do that tonight after work. Can't really "hear" it on these cheap ass logictechs at work.
why did he do that? Hopefully that doesn't make the album. First part of the song was dope though. I'll take that over the drums on steroids approach of his last album.

...but where is the fucking snare, okay okay I get it he wanted no snare but c'mon this is the first song you leak to get people excited about your new album , this is a decent album cut but not for a first single.

But they still crack. As for the change ups there are a couple on the album and they work very well throughout. NPNP still has the electronic accents that made Tronic sound like the future, but this record is SOULFULL.
Quelle and Thought don't let down and the song with Glasper is butter. Also the more old soul/R&B joints later in the album are gems. Black just flexin on this
And as for his rhymes more measured/natural with the flow and since he doesn't rap on a couple songs, those who are ehh on his rappin skills, should never feel overkill on Milk
I'll be very surprised if the lesson does not like this album
