"Am I the only one who prefers Brand Nubian minus Puba?"

Puba is cool and all but Lord Jamar and Sadat X mesh better without him. He doesn't deliver the content in the same manner as them. He comes across more of a punchline rapper IMO. Especially the direction they went in on In God We Trust and Everything Is Everything. I just couldn't see Puba on those records. Am I the only one?

a few examples of songs I couldn't see him on

I think "One For All" was definitely Brand Nubian's best album and "Foundation" was also great. Tracks like "Step to the Rear" and "Who Can Busy?" and Puba's verses on "To the Right," "One For All," and "Ragtime," were all big reasons why the former was so great.

However, Sadat and Jamar DID have better chemistry in the group when it was just the two of them. And Puba definitely wouldn't have sounded so good on a good number of the tracks that really worked on "In God We Trust" and "Everything is Everything".
