"An Adina Howard comeback?"


          

I just saw that Adina is supposed to be featured on the new season of Tvone's Life After.

I love a great comeback; Adina still looks good and so long as she can still sing all she needs is the right writers and producers along with a record label to work with.

Who would be the perfect songwriters and producers for her to work with in 2013?

i was like 10 or 11 when i first saw the "Freak Like Me" video, mouth agape. pretty sure that was the moment that turned me into an ass-man.
but it wasnt just that she was shit hot.
she could sing n had crazy swag too.

"Sexual Needs" and "Crank Me Up" in particular are like...jeesus lol. too sexy.

in terms of who should produce her now? i have no idea. but the first person that popped into my head for some reason was DJ Quik, but only if Rob Bacon, G-One, the Debarges & his whole crew were present AND he went for a "Rhythm-al-ism" sound. dunno, i just see her fitting into that mix real well.

Freak like me was cute. the last time i heard from her with Warren G on a Hook. i can't see a 4th or 5th tier act making a legit comeback unless she becomes a talk show host or something on line.

For some strange reason, I thought she was from LA but she's really from Grand Rapids, MI.

I definitely think she could succeed with the right promo, producers, etc. R&B could use an unabashed freak again. Current pop/r&b females are curiously sexless these days (Bey and Rih's sexuality is more campy than titillating IMO).

She got blacklisted after her debut album, hence why she disappeared as soon as she appeared.

and how they only saw her as a Skirt and she didn't want to play ball and she was talking a bit too much about the behind the scenes. i remember when Jamie FOxx was doing a track on her and that was back when Jamie was doing "booty Call" and back then Jamie as a Music Artist would have been lucky to be an opening act for IMX or Next let alone to where he got to, that is how long ago that chick been out of the mix.

It's not a coincidence that her second album--'97's Welcome to Fantasy Island--was never released by Elektra despite a hefty production budget.

I find her honesty considering her fate refreshing.
