and he very much alive. Cee Lo is entertaining and got something however he is Soulful without being SOulful he ain't bringing it fully and the cat got crazy cross over.

if he had the right material he would be even bigger, instead of coming off with a Gimmick vibe. i mean he got something their, however he comes off like he is playing and also he doesn't have another songwriter or producer who knows how to channel it the right way.

however i will say this for Cee Lo, had somebody told me 10-15 years back he would be a household name I would have laughed them out of a room, however Cee Lo has had one of the most impressive act twos of a career that i have ever seen, i gotta give him that over any other cat from the south and its up their in general when you think about his act two.

if that re invention is where you are coming from with him then you got a strong argument their. from goodie mob, knarls Barkley and then a solo career, tv and film he has truly flipped the script.

be it on the voice or the grammys to me he gets more showy and tends to play that up. i think his big hits overshaow so much and he tends to vegas up his thing and i understand he got middle america checking him out, however i gotta believe that he might pull a classic album track deep on an album if he challenges himself. time will tell.

gained on Andre 3000 in the past 10 years in terms of hip-hop even a little, it's Cee-Lo.

And no, Perfect Imperfections ain't nowhere near Love Below, nor are two quality Goodie albums with 1/4 lyrical duties anywhere near 4 classic Kast albums with 1/2.

Andre actually has more memorable verses in the past 10 years than Cee-Lo & he's barely even breathing in public.

Cee-Lo ain't had a rap verse that mattered since Clinton was in office.

and will staind the test of time just as Love Below will on an artistic level

Love Below is rarely a display of Andres ability to rap
caint say the same about Los first 2 Solo efforts..Cee Lo is rapping his ass off on both pojects and your Lying if u say different

only thing Andre has over Lo is his contribution to OutKast is slightly greater than Los contribution only because Goodie had to slice the cake 4 ways..

but like I said on a solo level 3000 aint fuckn with the Soul Machine

Love Below's not a great display for Andre's 'rapping', sure......it is a display for his ability to go left & still make memorable songs.

There isn't a single song on Perfect Imperfections that's 'standing the test of time' compared to Roses, Prototype, She Lives In My Lap, Happy Valentine's Day or (if radio hadn't killed it) Hey Ya.

this isnt about whos says what.. its about the quality as well as the quantity of work CeeLo has put in..3stacks dont have enough work...
10 years from now Perfect Imperfections as well as the Soul Machine will still sound good as new..
all Andre has is Love Below and he barely raps on it..
Cee Lo is wrecking shit on both albums RAP wise and on an Artistic level

I wouldn't use that many arrows on Atliens either.

I'll go Cee lo on Still standing > Andre on Atliens > Cee lo on Soul food > Andre on Southern

But Dre was just coming into his zone on ATLiens. Cee-Lo was already there.
I'd say Cee-Lo Still Standing = Dre Aq
That was both of their peaks though. I wish mofos could accept that.

yea we can agree that Cee-lo started off as the better more well rounded mc.

What was crazy is he was orignally in Outkast..I wonder how that would have worked out. I'm glad it didn't we never would have gotten Goodie Mob.

I Refuse Limitation & The Experience were mind-blowing.....and obviously he owned 'Git Up, Git Out' (Dre got him back on 'Black Ice').

But Andre did more heavy lifting in his unit & his Aquemini performance was the trump card.

He had more classic verses on that album than Cee-Lo had in his career combined.

Both left a lot on the table in the end.
