I was just talking to my older friend in his 60s on the phone and i asked him who was better between earth, wind, and fire and the ohio players and he said that the ohio players were it and saying the sugarfoat had oww vocals copied by so many people and how influencial that was and he said that their problem was like with any band money and greed started sitting in and that was their downfall and i know that he isnt bias on any funk terms so again, i say that the ohio players were better than earth, wind and fire and they were not hard enough for me. ill take rick james & the stone city band over earth, wind, and fire.

by Sly and the Family Stone, however I love both bands. EWF is tied with the Isleys to me. however the Ohio Players were some badd badd boys and they had two careers first on westbound with Junie Morrison and then the Mercury records era

and they were badd, however EWF had the better songs IMO.

amen....brother.....the ohio players were all the way baddass, i mean even the image and the name "ohio players" was HARD for the 70s. someone sent me the earth, wind, and fire heritage 1990 live dvd and I just wasnt into it at all and it sounded like they were playing to a retirement home even though it was an arena and I ended up trading that mess in for a store credit and I agree so much with lester(Zapp)on the ohio players unsung when he said that even earth, wind, and fire bite off the ohio players and when i tell some people that, they said that they can hear it with e,w,f horn section. the ohio players have a song titled time slips away and it sounds exactly like something that e,w,f bite off of....

Whaaaaat?! I'm convinced you two have not listened to any of EWF's albums. EWF's Uplifting lyrics+ hot music is riding above the OP.

dude....i was talking to a lady friend of mine and she was saying that earth, wind, and fire were never a funk group in the first place and that they were more of an r&b/soul type group and i agree with that because they just were not hard enough for me. I used to have the album with As one back in 1993 and i played it once and never put it on the turntable again because it never had any songs that really moved me enough to go out and buy up their stuff.

Elements Music catelog,etc. etc..

however a Music act for Me? NAW

if it weren't for Michael Jackson I wouldn't even ride as I do for music period and and I also say the same thing about Stevie WOnder.

EWF though out of all acts aside from Rick James made me feel good when listening to them.

Maurice White ain't underrated he got his due. maybe not fully loved in White World, however the Elements got their Love.

Verdine is Badd and to me he is more underrated as a Songwriter and Producer. he did some nice things for Deniece WIlliams

I saw them get compared to the OPs earlier. They both get props from me for actually improving UPON getting a major label deal and gaining mainstream popularity. That doesn't happen everyday.
