"Let's be honest: Nas OWNS "BBC" that track is feat. Jay Z"

I mean...that beat is fruitier than a bowl of fruit loops...

BUT.

the way God's Son sets that m.f. off...AND his voice cutting through on the chorus?

dude is cash money. AND he saved that turd of a track the minute he opens his mouth.

Also. This schitt exposes Jay as the proverbial Apollonia to every other "Prince"...K.O.N.Y., ass on the throne'r...B.I.G. Pimp'n...think about it, he ain't the quarterback on the joints featuring A-List M.C.'s.

Ask Jaz. He's wide receiver.

Q-Tip is a quaterback, Kanye is a quarterback, Biggie quarterbacked, Tupac played q.b.

Jay qb'ing means everybody else on the track is weak ('ol halfback option L.T. type of cat).

Whatever, I used to NOT like Jay the same way I didn't fuck with The Chronic.

He's fascinating from a "social" stand point. Black, White, Asian, Latino males be on EVERY WORD, which says a lot about our culture.

When the next Nas album drop? Dude is feeling his self.

I disagree about the track. I thought this was the first time Jay got Nas for sure. But you can tell Nas QB'd the chorus.

Glad it was on his album but I'm cringing because Timbaland just said he produced a song for Nas called Sinatra in the Sand w/Jay Z and Justin Timberlake so this could be equally as bad.

nothing memorable at all.

and it seems awkward and more like somebody putting some change in a Homie's pocket as to a song that anybody shines on.

put it like this, in there prime if this cut was a duet cut it would be like the 8th or 9th cut on a 12 song album and it would be lucky to be a 4th release, meaning you can easily find 3 better tracks before you even think about putting this track out.

turkey you used an Appollonia and Prince reference in 2013.

turkey how far in a back to the future warp is you in?

at least I talk about something in the present.

at the rate you is going by 2043 you will talk about Prince and Ingrid Chavez brush painting in Graffiti Bridge?

Joe still making good music and can sing.

cry, turkey, cry and nobody cares about a 3rd tier album track by Nas and Jay Z in 2013 turkey.

Jigga and Beyonce, Jigga and Timberlake, Jigga and Kayne is the order of the menu and Nas is like way at the end of the food chain in duets and things to do.

That Fuckwitme beat would have been shredded to pieces by Nasir, I'm a little mad at Jay for not making that happen.

He knew "LIfe Is Good" Nas would body any other track on this album, so of course he put Nas on the "Puerto Rican LGBT Sock Hop Jamboree" joint...of course, but like I said...he knew either Nas would gump out...OR at best put the "Phife Dawg" hat on Jay (cause he KNOW he Phife to Nas' Kamaal The Abstract Poetic).

m.f. alley-oop'd his self showing and proving that good beats or bad he just need a blunt some henny and a topic and he can keep it thorough.

Nas is Hip Hop's true people's champion.

I remember hearing that plastic ass track on the commercial thinking "EWWWW".

I played that whole joint the first time and was scratching my head.

Almost 0 necksnappers on that album. Tim's shit on here doesn't go hard in ANY situation. Almost like Jay made a soft album on purpose - or he doesn't listen to hard rap so he's lost touch with what the live mfs wanna hear. Imo

Plus I'm not sure who wants to hear about Cups Runneth Over and Blueby when they're out there high and not gaf. *I* wanna hear raw naszty mic rippin with a bad attitude, not this nigga STILL trying to tell me he's the greatest and how he's been forsaken blah blah blah..

In response to Reply # 38

this is the 1st Jay Z album where I thought he was the problem..maybe i'm just so used to ALC and Harry Fraud an dem that **IM** just not feeling these sampleless, tinkly beats.
..
Maybe it's just been my experience, but since this album came out I've been in the clubs and the street and I'm just not seeing people going crazy over anything on MCHG except Beach Is Better, Versus, The Ross song and Tom Ford. The Beyonce track is cool too imo..it's just something I would play around the crib, not while I'm out kickin it..

42. "Nas is STILL in that zone"
In response to Reply # 0

He was in the zone deep from Summer 11- Life is Good... But after this and Let Nas Down remix. Dude is still hot. I hope he's cutting another album right now to strike while the iron is hot.

And why don't cats like "BBC" I think everything about it is great. I think Nas outraps Jay but I think they both come hot and the beat is some classic Neptunes ish.

Jay's verse was way better to me. Side note - am I the only one that likes this song? I mean, I just chose 3 songs from the album to put on a playlist and that was one of them. The chorus could have been better but I like the beat a lot.
