But the attention to detail shouldn't be ignored. Also, Donuts was very personal due to Dilla's awareness of his declining health. Both are classics, but Donuts is one of those really special albums that also had some raw ass style of sequencing that was way off of a normal grid way of producing.

I respect DONUTS, but for me, SINCE I LEFT YOU pulls me in from start to finish, and it's always a heartbreaking listen.
