The album release gig in London is going to stream live on their youtube channel on Wednesday 26th...8pm UK time - they are incredible live if anyone hasn't seen them you need to check this out.

they've been a consistent band...they play all over the world...
usually I'm looking forward to a release fo theirs because it's been promoted on that internet chittlin circuit either with singles from their albums or live performances.... Silver and Gold single was released last November and they did a video for it. they also did a video for clean the house, and a live one for mother mother as you mentioned.
they didnt do anything for Blackbird release that they didnt do for any of their previous albums.
maybe its because they dont have someone likes Gilles Peterson to show them more love these days, and while they do tour Europe, NZ and Australia, they are still very under the radar.

which is why I was suprised to only recently hear they had a new album coming....he's been a big promoter of them over the years...wasn't for Giles I may have never known about them..
also I've heard them on Solar radio in the past, and I listen to that station every day and haven't heard anything this time around...
I know they still tour all the time but I'm just saying that compared to even the album before this one.... the amount of pub they got this time around was less than the last album... and radio, blogs and shows over the internet that I check for pretty much exclusively are the ones where one would usually hear about them..but again not so much this time.
just glad they do have a new one out and looking foward to hopefully getting some live sets on-line soon...
I think this might be my favorite album from them. Had it on constant repeat since buying it last week.
I loved the first two albums, but this one just seems more focused without loosing any of the loose grooves from their sounds on the first two.
Got tickets to see them live in October; can't wait for that.
