If we are only focusing on group material, I may vote the other way.

While I feel albums like The Minstrel Show and The Listening can very much compete with the Black Star album, I'd put Black on Both Sides and Train of Thought way ahead of all of them.

If we're talking solo in the mix it might have to go to mos and kweli, if not... little brother. Only thing I disagree with is I would take mistrel show over black on both sides, I know its not a popular opinion, but for me its true. In fact a big reason why if we are breaking it down to solo stuff that it'd go to blackstar is LB's solo stuff isn't amazing. Some okay stuff, but with blackstar the solo stuff is on par with the group stuff.. sometimes better.

I am voting Little Brother, its damn near 50/50 though. Especially since in the end I expect most to vote for black star on this one.

Cmon

There's gotta be a better way to get Tay or
Pooh to post in your thread.

LB had a nice couple albums and tay is a
personal favorite but this is a fucking
joke.

This place is wierd sometimes. I get the
get along gang is gassed over a new lb
song but pump the breaks.

I forget this place thinks pooh is something
more than a semi-serviceable side kick.

Much as I love Mos and Kweli, I listen to Little Brother far more than I do Black Star.

LB's mixtapes were basically albums. great catalogue

And yeah, I'm counting mix tapes as albums, because they basically were.

But it's kind've hard to compare when the amount of output is not similar.

two great songs. one irrelevant point.

anyway...I'd say it's dead even. I'd put Blackstar waaay ahead if we include solo product. It's not even close.
