and the performance, as short as it was, felt just right. Hey Love would've brought the house down. i'm definitely lookin forward to the next time they're in town (aug 22)

sorry, i'm just sensitive about Sade. The most I'll concede is that Sea Salt is in the Sade ballpark.
But yeah, I thought Neverland was bascially an homage type joint to Michael on the first listen. MJ is definetly in the house. ______________________________________________________________________________

After further spins I'm not sure if I like this album as much as the 1st. They are very different albums IMO, this one is clearly more traditional (not necessarily a bad thing) and less experimental. coco has definitely stepped her vocal game up and remains my favorite female vocalist atm.
The 1st half of the album other than LFT is meh. 2nd half starting from Neverland is excellent. 1st album had very few skippers. I wish they had thrown Løb Stop Stå on here as a bonus track but oh well.
W/ that said it's still a fantastic album overall. Robin Hannibal is quickly becoming one of the best producers in the game.
Quadron release a new track titled “Neverland” as a homage and tribute to Michael Jackson. The track is nicknamed after the king of pop’s getaway ranch.
The track is quite smooth and features Coco Maja Hastrup Karshøj singing over a funk-inspired instrumentation.
The goal of the song is “from a different angle… a story about when people become impersonators to pay tribute to artists that are their idols because they are so obsessed with them.”

Starts off strong from LFT to Hey Love (which might be my favorite song on the album).
Lags a bit with Crush and Befriend, but once Neverland kicks in, it's dope song after dope song.
They seem to be putting their influences more out front, much more than on the debut. There are conscious attempts at channeling Michael, Stevie, and Sade, but never fully copying, and they still manage to create their own sound.
