This album and a few others in 97 represented the last of that classic NYC sound. It's been all downhill since then IMO but i'm a southern and I hate y'all arrogant bastards (I kid, I kid). Shout outs to Buckwild, EZ Elpee and others for blessing a nicca with that timeless NYC sound. Post up links to or just list your top 5 songs from the album. I just love the way Iced Down Medallions starts off "Motion Picture" with the beat drop. He dropped that album at what seemed to be a weird time because it didn't get much pub.

And frankly the "Iced Down Medallions" video had too much of a comical feel to it. Nore hopping around like a nut + Flush stoned out of his mind with his shines on and titties out didn't make a great first impression. It was too nutty and ODB-ish for a cat that actually had real street cred. If you didn't listen to the album or know of Flush beforehand you'd think he was a goofball. In retrospect it's clear that the label should have spent all their money pushing "I Been Gettin' So Much Money", then dropped "Iced Down Medallions" after that (just like it's sequenced on the album). _________________________________________ The Combat Jack Show is the best hip-hop related internet radio show http://thecombatjackshow.com/

That album is really good. Granted, the content is limited, but Flush really shines on the record. No pun intended.
You're such pests...now, what is it you want? In your depths of your ignorance, what is it you want? Well, whatever it is you want, I can't deliver because I just don't see it. - Orson Welles

Great album and one of the most underrated hip-hop albums of the 90s.
You can play it from start to finish. Regulate and Makin Moves which both feat Mic G are superb.
What A Shame should've been the single.
I agree with you take on 97. It was the start of the end. You had great albums like his one, War Report, Jewelz etc. but then you had albums that started to walk that commercial line too much so they were uneven. That happened until about 99 with each year still having some great albums.
There really is no reason Ghetto Millionaire isn't listed among the great NYC albums of the 90s.
