I don't want to sully the post up with unspeculated rumors and such. But something about the track really confirms something I never took as more than rumors before.

It wasn't released until the remaster long after he died. I wonder I wonder.

Aloe is that dude, but he's not a Donny. he could probly arrange and play the heck out of a tune, but nowhere near the vocal chops.

I learned a lot about the process how many of his songs came to be
and so on. They also tell you the original artists, facts about
Donny's life, how talented he really was, etc.

My favorite is a toss-up between the self-titled album and Extension
of a Man. The self-titled album finds Donny covering quite a few
songs, and that was his bread and butter. The way he arranged emotion
and sang it is just flooring to me (and the writers of the songs,
themselves, in many cases). Most of the songs he covered weren't
very popular to begin with, so most people don't even know they're
covers, but hearing the originals gives you alotta appreciation for
what he did with other people's arrangements.

Extension of a Man has more original work. It even begins with a
symphony he conducted. It also contains my favorite Donny song
"I Know It's You". His main passion was arranging and composing
music. If you appreciate arrangement and carefully crafted
musicianship, you'll probably dig Donny.
