...rather than attempting to craft some serious heat. The production is uninspired, and goes nowhere, and Andre sounds hella uninterested, almost joking. But I have no problem with Beyonce on this. I kind of like hearing her on this vibe, in comparison to her usually noisy, grandiose productions...

I think this is the most disappointing part. To have two clearly talented individuals collaborate, and THIS was the best they could muster?

Its one of the most glaring things about the cover. She tries to belt her vocals to perform pain instead of channeling pain and using her voice in service of that

Which pains me to say. But this shit isn't very good at all. If they wanted to make hipsters happy they should have put The Weeknd & Lana Del Ray on it. If they wanted to make FAT money, Timberlake and Adele. And if they wanted to make a good song, they should've asked Ellie Goulding to just do it by herself.

My only issue with Beyonce on this is the production is too sparse for her. It draws too much attention to her voice, which is too perfect and (like the above poster said) has no emotional character to it.

But that's just my opinion.
