He also turned his life over to Christ but there have been a few records by him that have come out over the years. They've all been Christianity-based so I could see T-Minus doing the same later down the road. He's a part of OVO so I can't see them holding any type of grudge but I wonder if their success was the cause for his "conversion".

not that he didn't kill that gimmick, but I'll be surprised if it's still ridin' like that this summer.

then again, probably lame to make a post like this without any dry snitching or actual information. I'll err on the side of doubt it til this story has some meat.

That's the "gimmick" he was referring to. At least that's how I read it. I'm not familiar enough with T-Minus' production to cosign the sentiment that he only had one sound though. Did he have any other "hits" aside from I'm on One and She Don't Put it Down?

So yeah, dude did/does seem to have a formula. But I wouldn't necessarily call having a sound a gimmick though. Could just come down to semantics.

like I said below, that was a little derogatory. But he has a template that just to my ears feels very alright for the past two years, but where's that going? I think it would be smart to take a step back from that...it's what Lex Luger did. He still dabbles in the old sound but most of his higher profile features are a lot more subtle than what he was originally being billed for (at the same time, I should shout out to Southside, who gets really underrated in this discussion) and T-Minus could benefit from a re-evaluation while everyone else from his minions to wanna bes copy his sound - which is obviously happening pretty rampantly outside the retail scene, but on the radio too.

Not trying to hate on your post, but this seems really slanderous and Us Magazine for a thing with no sources or facts to back it up. So I'm focusing on, mainly, if T-Mins fell back even slightly in 2013 I wouldn't be surprised. Let the imitators be the muses. But retire? You gotta back that up. Retiring is the coolest thing in rap these days.

I ran through his Wiki and these are songs I've heard of. Granted, most I heard through my 17 year old daughter but still...

Kendrick Lamar-Swimming Pools
A$AP Rocky-PMW (All I Need) feat. ScHoolboy Q
DJ Khaled-I'm On One feat. Drake, Rape Ross and Weezy
Slaughterhouse-Throw That feat. Eminem
Slaughterhouse-Frat House
Drake-The Motto with Weezy
Drake-HYFR feat. Weezy
Joe Budden-She Don't Put It Down Like You feat. Tank, Weezy, Fabolous and Twista
Nicki Minaj-Champion feat. Nas, Drake and Jeezy
Nicki Minaj-Moment 4 Life feat. Drake

He's from the Dot and in OVO, which is why damn near all these songs are Cash Money.

Religion/spirituality is a powerful thing.

Even though it turned out to be BS, Mase said that he had a dream that he was literally leading people to hell, and that they were following him. That scared the hell out of me, and I'm not even a very religious guy. If you feel like you're contributing to negativity that strongly - and people see rap, and pop music, as negative like that all the time - then I don't see it as not being sincere.

It's surprising to hear since he's been doing so well, but I don't think it's that crazy of an idea.
