"The Official 'WEEZY DIDN'T DIE!!' Appreciation Post"
*post-'colossal' Mr Carter intro exhale*
Welp, was pretty sure that was really it this time.
Luckily somehow Young Birdman Jr walked outta that evil Cedars ICU tower tonite & let's be thankful for that fact above all else or any other bullshit commentary about his habits or some folks' thoughts about his music.
Saw his star qualities immediately in the late 90's, have enjoyed him in several incarnations along his journey to becoming the odd rapping gremlin he morphed into over the course of the decade & even somehow in his own bizarre inhabiting-his-own-universe-outside-normal-human-logic-or-decency way by cheating death this week he dealt a far bigger blow to the tabloid culture we currently exist in than a thousand libel suits ever could.
Admittedly I'd pretty much stopped buying or in some cases even ever listening (Rebirth) to any album post-C3 but in honor of him making it out alive & having the chance to bounce back I'm partying in this thread with a few of my favorites so feel free to join the fray.
Toss 'I'm On One' & 'Bandz' in there as well but left them off since they weren't really Wayne songs (and yes, Hollywood Divorce is officially Wayne's song & I Feel as well just for the final verse prophecy).
The news was sounding more harrowing than Weezy & Dre3K being the dueling-guitar-slot replacements for a 2013 Thin Lizzy show but somehow Wayne managed to outlive this latest threat the same way he's long since outlived the alleged cute phase mentioned in this very board's guidelines.
Next time a styrofoam cup crosses his path may he find a way to back it up then stop lest life unceremoniously drop him like he's hot.
We're glad you're still here, Weezy. Stay safe. peace.

------------------------- “The other dude after me didn’t help my case. It was just like…crazy nigga factory going on.” Dre makes no apologies for his own eccentricities. “I was young, and searching, trying to find myself,” he says. “Never did.”-- Andre B
