"Adrian Younge Presents: The Delfonics....." Mon Mar-04-13 09:39 PM by Warren Coolidge
I've been looking forward to this project for a while.... was familiar with Younge's work on Black Dynamite...so I figured this would be interesting..
but I honestly had no idea...
first of all I didn't realize that he and Delfonics lead singer William Hart were going to be recoring original songs for this project....with Younge's band...
William Hart is in his 80's.... I mean...I am honestly blown away by this album...

i respect what they were trying to do, but the singer from the delphonics is out of key on every damn track. he sounds like a muppet or something. and i fuck with the delphonics...
but you have to be a real REAL die hard delphonics fan to dig this or so "hip-hop" that out of key singing doesn't phase you.
i downloaded/deleted the album at least a month ago. if not in december...

i mean he's 80. i'm not faulting dude. but he needed a vocal coach. likewise for that shelved dam-funk/steve arrington project. waay too many "off" notes for me.
