"Tell me why "Half Time" isn't Amy Winehouse's best song"
There's so much to love about that song. The way she brings the instruments into the song, and just in general how the song comes together. She controls the song from beginning to end.
And that's no slight to anything else she's done because Frank & Back to Black are great albums.

Not being the biggest Winehouse fan though, I'd never heard Half Time. Nice joint.
The way she brings the instruments in is the most noteworthy thing about it though, as far as anything standing out about it. I'd say "You Sent Me Flying" even crushes it in that department too (aside from YSMF's vocal performance and songwriting being on a whole helluva higher level).

The worse part about it is that she could have really had some excellent stuff in the future. It's a shame this is all we will get of her future greatness.

Halftime is a great song, regardless of the rest of the album. I don't own the album either.

I'm surprised to see Now You Know here. I've always seen it as one of the less memorable tracks on Frank. As a matter of fact, I had to look it up to remember the song.

30. ""In My Bed" & "Tears Dry" (Slow Version from Lioness Album)" In response to Reply # 0 Wed Mar-06-13 02:22 AM by J-Elijah
"In My Bed" is one of my favorites cause producer Salaam Remi sampled his own beat that he produced for Nas's "Made You Look" & put it on this song. It would have been even better if Salaam had got Nas to do a verse on "In My Bed" or made it a duet with Nas & Amy instead.
"Tears Dry" (Slow Version from Hidden Treasures Lioness album) is another favorite & I even like it better than the version that samples Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" on the Back to Black album.
