^ patti labelle singing "is it still good to you" without using a scrap of the original melody. i will say, luther didn't get completely overpowered. even though she pulled a note out of the stratosphere at 3:20.
i really do love patti labelle in limited doses, but it's funny that any clip you YouTube with patti labelle and another artist usually results in patti just drowning out just about everybody else on stage.

This shit drives me crazy about Patti LaBelle. I can't listen to her sing for more than a few minutes without wanting to hit something. She goes way to hard for me. I felt so bad for Joe Cocker in that clip. Good god he looked like he was gonna pass out. lmao.

she'll drown you out. but when she gives you a chance to sing, she'll point at you and catch holy ghost while you chime in. she'll act as if YOU'RE the star of the show lol.

1) is there a contemporary equivalent to Patti and her singeronics stage stealing
2) how the hell was her voice still so damn strong (one video was from 2000) and all these huff ass muhfukas (alicia *couch* keys *cough*) with 1/20 of Patti's voice sound like they've lost their voice 5 yrs in to their careers

4) this one isn't a question, but whenever Patti would sing on an award show it was must see tv. you KNEW she was gonna go AWL the way off. she might fuck around and try to fly away...lol.
5) is there anyone who has ever been as dynamic of a singer as Patti?
