Here My Dear is praised for its unprecedented brutal honesty and vulnerability, but if you ask me which of these two albums is just plain more pleasurable to listen to, Kellz wins imo.

love letter is smoother and the lyrics have a real story.

Kellz kept the story consistant. Marvin sounded like he wanted to Lou Rawls Anna Gaye if he saw her.

...to keep coming back to it. I'd rather listen to "Love Letter" before "Here, My Dear" as well.

Love letter is more love than break up. Or....is it just the vibe behind it that makes it feel that way?

like it was mailed in...

its kells trying to make some vintage soul type of music.....like Saadiq was doing successfully previously....

pretty bland album really over all...

R. Kelly ain't got a funky space reincarnation in him......he just don't

with tony, toni, tone i'll give you that but solo? not even close.

if Saadiq sang a song like "when a woman loves" he would choke trying to reach them notes

decided to venture in that direction...

but regardless...

Kells ain't seeing Here my dear...just on the way the vocals sound.......Marvin had a way of Layering his vocals with the lead vocal still sounding "in the moment" and not super glossed produced...that was one of his trademarks... Kells vocals sound to sanitized and sounds like he's reading off a script...

Ralph been in the game since we had first pair of Vamps back in the mid 80's and what he done ever solo?

at least with tony, toni, tone he could cover his limitations and imitaitons to a level.

FYI Jan Gaye sent R.kelly Marvin's Driver's license because she was moved by His Sanging.

Hear,My Dear should have been nominated for an academy award for all that acting and shouting.

the music was tight, however the way he went about it was a man not wanting to face the music.

Kellz was sanging and did it so deceptive that some folks thought it was love music until you heard the lyrics.

Marvin acted like a Brother who finished listen to Richard Pryor and was like yo this chick is going to get Half? and then lost it from there.
