"so Usher>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Justin TImberlake"

better songs

better albums

better still at being a Broke Michael Jackson.

i saw that clip of Timberfluff doing "shake your body down to the ground" and he made Jackie,Marlon, Tito and Randy turn over in there Grave.

so what if Timberlake has a live band behind him he still is Pat Booning" the music.

Usher ain't gotta make no wack tacky turkey movies to cover short coming of a half baked music career.

the only people allowed to run it is blacks or that one likable white guy....even tho everyone and their mama know Bruno Mars does the best Michael Jackson impersonation over JT, Usher, and Chris Brown.

i'll give him dap for his Band, however his voice is lite in the cakes and his songs are jacks at best.

he will be better served for other acts as a writer and producer.

he couldn't carry MJ's white socks.

Bruno feels like a Pinto as a Solo Artist to me.

Who cares about competing with MJ, Prince, or whoever...

The Bruno kid is doing his blender sound thing and being him...

Besides....his angle is more about being a bandleader/songwriter than anything else...

as usual you hate to admit I'm right and you just want to be contrary.

this turkey ain't found his voice or his own sound and just a year ago got his Perm game right, give me a break this cat jacking a old Police song and you giving that a pass?

this turkey been out a minute and he is pulling a Lenny Kravitz, John Legend and Alicia Keys right before our eyes.

band leader? dude is playing top 40 jukebox of yesteryear. safe and accessible.

i bet you cash money that he will never hit on himself as he did for CeeLo Green and you know why?

because Cee-Lo is more of a solo Star than Bruno will ever be.

Bruno feels like he stole his daddy's shoes and put them on and while he can move in them, he ain't comfortable enough to walk in them.

its a cute routine, but he has no meat in that meal man.

U can think what u wanna think, dude...lol

I'm not the one always comparing cats to the old-timers....

Mars is doing him...I don't like everything dude does in the studio...But I respect his versatility...

And he leads his band like a vet...Yeah, he has a punchable face...But Mars has the talent that's for sure....

Bro, Bruno is the one trying to channel the greats of Yesterday.

he makes it a point of trying to recycle and channel that.

back in the day this cat would be about as deep as TOny Orlando, but in today's game he is about Wayne Newton level with a tight band.

"just the way you are" was just as big as "fuck you"

to get on he didn't jack anyones sound, he came up with his own lil melodic pop sound and came out the gates with huge hits "billionaire" "nothin' on you" that basically made BOB's career and that gym class heroe's dude's career...

he's a household name... you are just basically saying things that are not true... and I'm not even really a fan of dude, but you're just wrong

because bruno ain't no household name and his songwriting is his bread and butter not his solo career.

i've watched that cat since he was impersonating elvis back in the day amongest others.

Cee lo is a household name and that song worked well for cee lo, if mars put it out he would be like justin bieber doing hooks for the lynch mob. behind the scenes for mars

not for himself... so of course it worked better as a Cee-Lo song, it is a Cee-Lo song... Bruno didn't just send it to his A&R... him and Cee-Lo sat down in the studio and made the song

thing is it fit cee lo and Cee Lo is the bigger act of the two.

bruno doesn't have the same charisma or persona to match a Cee Lo.

just looked at wiki

out of the 8 singles he's had as a lead artist
6 have been top 10
5 have been top 5
3 have hit number 1

cee-lo would kill for that kinda success

now i prefer cee-lo myself, but how exactly is he a bigger star?

Usher. The man does back flips during slow songs.. hahaha.. I mean c'mon. Timberlake dooes revamped Mj vocal runs. That's not to say he doesn't have talent but honestly it's not nearly as special as MTV and SNL make it out to be.

This is all I know...If we are talking about who is the better dancer, Usher wins...

If we are talking about who is the more complete artist, Timberlake wins on that front...

I like the old Usher before he jumped on the Euro-pop train...He's more of a follower than a dude that sticks to his own muse

I've seen both live...And I can tell you Timberlake had the better band and live experience...No lipsynching...No lazy background tracks...He even changes up the arrangements of songs..And again, Usher was cool live...It's just that I've seen "that" kind of show before...

As much as a I hate to admit it (and believe me, I do...lol), Timberlake wins that battle over Usher...

Now if this were a dance contest....

An album that has already aged.

I am not even a Usher fan and I'm willing to give him the more complete artist stamp cause at least he's recording and constantly releasing albums - good or bad. That's one reason why his music has to switch up - he's been touring the same music for close to a decade. Timberlake is playing it safe ensuring the hype of his release and the super power involvement on all fronts to make sure it's succesful. These ten year breaks are for corny artists who are afraid of failure and equally lazy.

the funny part is they are both professional Mj impersonators. As far as the show I have never seen either in concert but it's obvious Timberlake is gonna have the best of the best they been holding his hand every step of the way since Nsync. That said, I'll leave that there.

Actually, he has two albums...

And to be real, Timberlake was def. giving a nod to MJ on album one (two of those hits on Justified were written for MJ...so duh....)

But his follow-up? Nah...it's more of an amalgamation of different influences (including Prince) with his own thing thrown in...That was a new sound him, Timbo and Danja was bringing to the masses...And dude was way more involved in the songwriting process than Usher..

Anyway...Usher is making records with David Guetta right now...So this debate is moot...lol

Ppl only acting like this cause he's white, backed by the machine, and has access to anything he wants or needs. nah.

and after twenty years in the business he's just now writing songs? and now biting Prince as well? By now Timberlake should have his OWN sound - proof he's nothing more than a industry cash cow.

forget the two songs... look at his vocal runs, his dancing - he's trying to be Mj. It is amazing to me how many current artists are trying to either be Mj or Janet. From Britney to Usher to Timberlake etc.

Two albums or not... the break between them compared to Usher's work ethic just isn't the same.

However the Usher oontz oontz factor does kill this conversation haha... so I tip my fitted to you sir.

Timberlake isn't really doing MJ that hard these days...hell, he's been more on Robin Thicke's tip...lol...He does Thicke better than Thicke...

Nah..His angle these days is a blender of different styles rather than going all MJ like he did with that first album...

that just screams shallow as fuck ya know.

I don't think he's better at Thicke than Thicke, Thicke actually can write. he's lightyears ahead of Timberlake to me.

Now the argument about usher is a good one, those pop nonsense songs... the bobby brown headset... all types of bad. Usher is one bad cat and way better than Timberlake - no damn comparison even if Jt has more style.

Usher far more of a balanced all around artist than that fake Timberlake.

white folks been throwing Timberlake down our throats for years.

turkey is fake and constipated. turkeys who catch feelings over timberfake is because he jacks 80's things, part MJ, some Prince and a few other things and he got a pass.

however Usher though got a far better voice and a better legit live act.

timberlake tries too hard at being down.

that mess he did with "shake your body down to the ground" or his cover of Marvin's "got to give it up" is comical.

Timberlake ain't got the goods. if that turkey had game he wouldn't hide no 5-6 years in wack movies.

and give me a break as if Timberland is the best you can do with getting a producer?

timberlake don't even believe his own hype.

his live show ain't nothing special.

he wasn't even the best singer in N Stank either.

Timberlake is not original and Maxx is right - the push on Timberlake has been aggressive, consistent, and without any justification for it. Ha. see what I did there but it's true.

When Mj went solo his talents were proven ten times over.
Justin Timberlake has yet to have that effect - it's hand holding by the industry darlings. hes just pre-sold to you by MTV, award shows, and other industry items.

Timberlake and Timberland were always overrated. Like always.
Timberland is not a tier one producer in my opinion.

Guetta's a French producer who started off as a reputable House Music head...

Now he's one of the producers ruling the current wave (that's three years plus and kicking) of Euro dance pop...He's also the go-to producer for R&B acts who feel like they have to bite that Euro-dance pop apple in order to survive in today's music industry...

Dude..we can knock Timbaland all we want...But dude has a strong 90's track record and on the real, he was one of the talents that led R&B's new era...

Those early Missy and Aaliyah's second album? They were as good as anything that was released during that era...I don't like everything the man has done, but come on...lol

Like I said, collaborating with Timbaland vs. Guetta?

U figure it out...

Aaliyah sure, but beyond that nah man.

record sales to me means nothing when your discussing production talent, etc.

I personally don't think most of his music aged well and have never been a fan of his work. To me the best Aaliyah were remixes. Ironically, and I will probably never admit this again in life anywhere, kellz may have the best one.

that's another story - but you are right if the option besides him is a House producer lol.. I mean the idea is laughable.

Prince exposed Timbaland like a true g. When Timbaland was complaining that people were stealing his sound (a sound mind you that had been matured in the UK long before a Timbaland ever did anything) Prince told him in an interview shout "you bad? change your sound then. I'm Prince, how many times have I changed mine?"

and he was right. It highlighted his limitations as a producer cause he's not a musician per se but a beat maker/producer.

But again if David Guetta is the other option - yeah Tim all day. lol

you can't debate nothing i said because TImberland did the same stuff on Ginuwine before timberlake and it was nothing special.

it doesn't matter who Usher is working with, because Usher got timberlake beat no matter what for the simple fact at least Usher is trying to sound somewhat modern.

oh WoW TImberlake is pushing off 3rd and 4th tier sloppy b side MJ reject cuts and getting praised or jacking parts of Prince or Thicke oh WOW.

i mean TImberlake is too corny to do anything modern because he can't get the past even half way right.

and that racist business since the days of Donny osmond to justin bieber and all these turkeys in between been linked to MJ and none have come close.

they been looking for a white version and it ain't there and never will be. at least with bieber he says yeah i'm a mj fan and want.

that pat boone turkey timbefluff does a motel 6 after hours lounge version of mj and gets all this hype??

timberland just turns knobs any turkey can do what he does plus bring in ghosts.

timberlake and timberland are two overrated jive turkeys.

Anything short of that is just sensationalism. That's Mj money.
So you know they gonna get a clone to try and get it - they could care less about the music, the intention behind the music, and the real talent.

They are both great label constructs..

I think the JT has benefited more from the process though. He has spread his wings as an actual musician and performer...

Usher just did what ppl told him to do until he was too old to dance as well as CB and Omarion..

In the end they only have 1 definitive album each..

So with the race not yet done I think it's more likely JT can make a doper new album than Usher can...

When they were in their primes though.. shit was always neck n neck

when JT sold out Janet his pass should have been revoked on the spot.

That said JT on SNL is hilarious so as an actor yeah he's got that.
His FB performance and his small roles in other films have been great.

stuff like this: http://youtu.be/5UXMltrABZg

When JT first went solo, it was painfully obvious that he was trying to steal Ursher's steez... right down to emulating his clothing and dancing in his first video, and even hiring the same video girl and using similar treatment.
