Yes, they make mad pro wrestling and comic books references. Yes, Esoteric makes Star Wars references. Yes, it's some backpacker shit. I gives not a fuck. Both Deck and Esoteric are spitting on this one. Beats are dope. And the guests (Roc Marci, Ohno, Ghost, Action Bronson, Mr. MFN Exsquire) all show and prove. Some high quality boom-bap shit.

Not the biggest Eso fan, but Deck on good beats is very necessary. __ I don't like the beat anymore because its just a loop. ALC didn't FLIP IT ENOUGH!
Flip it enough? Flip these. Flip off. Go flip some f*cking burgers.(c)Kno

Esoteric has a ridiculous flow.
You're such pests...now, what is it you want? In your depths of your ignorance, what is it you want? Well, whatever it is you want, I can't deliver because I just don't see it. - Orson Welles
This is the first album I have purchased in over a month. I've never even heard 7L rap and I'm still not sure who esoteric is (does he make beats or something) but I may have to check them out too!

feeling one way or the other heading in but this is better than any Deck solo or Wu-Block, might end up being a hidden gem in the No Said Date or Chamber-Music vein though I'm not sure how it will hold up yet.

if you're digging on Gangrene, Action Bronson, MFN' Exquire and so on and so forth then imagine putting that new-school old-school sound into a DOOM-like comic album and you've got Czarface.
It's sort of remarkable how unremarkable this album is. Not in a bad way, just in a "all I can say is of COURSE I'd/you'd like it" way.
The beats are dope, due to Deck and the guest, Esoteric is tolerable, but Deck IMO sounds like he has no hunger left. He's just rattling off similies and metaphors because he can.
