"Araabmuzik's new mixtape is out and it bumps."

And so far is much more of the lines of what you would expect...atmospheric, heavy hitting headnod music as opposed to the eurotrash turn he did on Electric Dream*

http://www.livemixtapes.com/mixtapes/20552/araab-muzik-for-professional-use-only.html

*Which I thought was a VERY successful experiment, even though it's not what anyone expected from him

you weren't a fan of Electronic Dream, lol.

the leaks i heard sounded more like the streamlined trap shit. they were boring. but i will listen to the mixtape

off the strength of Electronic Dream being one of 2011's best

I love experimentation, but I gotta admit I don't give alot of artists that much space to expand.I kind of credit Araab with Cam'ron's late '00's run and was a huge fan, so it was a shock for him to just be flipping techno pop.

But he did flip it; the drum programming was dope, it wasn't all airy chick vocals (Underground Stream was dark as shit) etc. Great showcase to prove he could do more then just nueva-york trap beats.

its funny, i figured you were into Araab as a rap-beat maker. ED would def be a left turn to me if that was the case.

ironcially, i don't really love the stuff he does with rappers, outside of "Molly Ringwald" with Danny Brown

There's about a minute on most ARAAB-raps where I'm totally into it, and then it passes so suddenly I'm amazed a reality ever existed where I thought Track A or B was perfect.

I mean, there's quite a few cool tracks over ARAAB beats. But his purest lane appears to be without rappers.

I'd like to hear him do the sort of project the west's wead heads have been propelling, like Oh No's Disrupted Ads, where the rap features just kind of drop in and out with little regard for pacing. That sort of radio, these are my friends and these are the beats they could handle vibe.

one, and he gets more creative with the samples

I dug Electronic Dream and the extension EP A LOT

Takes what Europe / gay people do best i.e. airy emo vocals and makes it relatable for the gym heads / urban music listeners lol

...even when I listen to these joints it gets real repetitive especially on the good tracks which seems like nothing but four & eight bar loops with out all the percussion treatment that Araab Muzik usually brings to his live tracks/performances.

The last track "Words Of A Chameleon" is the only instrumental I like the most on this album, which was used by Joe Budden's on his "Loose Quarter" mixtape album.

Some of the Arrab beats are just insane to me, like "1-2-3 Grind" or "Salute" does. The energy is unmatched right now...tho Lunice is close.

While this is less of an album, more of a beat tape I still like it. ED is way better tho.

"Streetz Tonight" is still his best beat imo.

probably cause he reverts back to the formula he did more on Electronic Dream i.e. sampling the shit out of electronica vocals

This shit is so hard yo.

This is my favorite beat off the tape:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkIYWyjXzqQ

The sample of the women talking at the beginning is so sexy. And the chick whispering yeah throughout the track is sexy too. Also, the horn stabs are hard.
