Hip Hop mourns its first loss of 2013, with the death of BX veteran rapper Timothy "Tim Dog" Blair today from a seizure following a long bout with diabetes. He was 46 years old.
Tim is most noted for his "Fuck Compton" anthem towards Dr. Dre and N.W.A. during the height of the East Coast vs. West Coast rap beef. The song garnered several response tracks from DJ Quik, Compton's Most Wanted, and Dr. Dre. He has appeared on projects with the likes of KRS-One and The Ultramagnetic MCs.
Blair was briefly in the news again last year when he was caught in a sting operation by "Dateline NBC", where he was set up for swindling single women out of thousands on an online dating scam.
Tim Dog was present and active during a pivotal time in Hip Hop and unapolgetically made his mark. The Source would like to send our condolences to his family and friends. Rest In Peace.

Penicillin on wax is one of the funniest Hip-Hop albums ever. It may not have been intentional but it doesn't matter; I love it. And "Fuck compton" may have been a gimmicky song that helped lay the foundation for the unecessary east/west beef but it was also someone speaking his mind about shit he was fed up with (and let's be real:it was not just him. He was the one with the confidence to go *all* out as opposed to subtle jabs though) and with passion and intensity to boot; I can't hate on that.

For a minute I thought this post was a joke but I once it was up for a while I guess it's true, sad to hear about that cause after that little scandal he had with that female chick I was hoping he would settle that and get back to rapping and maybe do another album with Keith as Ultra.
Anyway from "A Chorus Line" to "Bronx Nigga" to "I Get Wrecked" to "The Industry Is Wack", rest in peace to Tim "No Face" Dog.
