And the frustrating this is that I *want* to like J Cole. On talent alone and the way he approaches his topics and stuff, he's right up my alley. He just bores me to tears.

I agree that he tends to whiff with his singles but I think that's because he lacks appeal to most of middle america. i'm beginning to realize the only people who like J Cole like hip hop. Zero cross-over potential and too boring for most. To me, he's in the category of rappers i like and want to win but just won't. his lack of success is why a successful Stalley project will ever see the light of day.
Oh yeah, I remember when Curren$y was "boring" and "couldn't make a single" but he found what worked best and embraced the people that liked his music. Cole needs to get out under Hov unless he just wants to get paid.
