"Can great vocals ever compare to great harmonies"

Something subjective in this, but I honestly think that whenever theres some harmonizing going on, especially different people with really compatible voices, its as magical as anything. theres almost a 3rd instrument happening in that resonance (i think thats the right way to put it?) that sits in between the high and low that is not of this world, and im always looking for that. yes theres something cool about the naked voice by itself, barely treated also, but can it ever really compare to a two part harmony? (and 3 and 4 and 5 part for that matter, the more the better!!!)

also who are some of your favorite harmony writers/singers, right now I think Fleet Foxes are unfuckwittable as far as a whole band singing.

. . .I highly doubt that the lineup that was so effective in this regard will ever perform together again.
