Definitely top 10 female artist of all-time. I just came across her Bastards remix album of her Biophilia album. It made me appreciate her again because I haven't been loving her music as of late but her run from Debut through Vespertine is unfuckwitable IMO. Yes, Selmasongs included.

of course the answer is yes, but biophilia really left a bad taste in my mouth, and i'm wondering if she's past the point of no return at this point. the next project will likely be the tell tale.

Volta I think is underrated. She put in a lot of work on that one, "Flame of Desire" probably being my favorite. Biophillia was the first time I couldn't find anything I really liked about it. My tap out point is there.
Similarly I tapped out on Tori after The Beekeepr (was the charcter album before that). She did pull me back with the song cycle though, but I think I missed a lot.

It was likely just as much a personal shift in musical interest more than any identifiable quality of her music that became worse (in whatever subjective sense).
But I do remember feeling like her music became increasingly homogenous, as though the very traits that made something "Bjorkish" had just become these very apparent, predictable qualities that made listening to her less exciting.

to inferior talents to her previous collaborators. same could be said of volta but it yielded far more tolerable results. the drum work on biophillia was just awful.
I'm a part of the fragment of Bjork fans that enjoy the Post-Vespertine LPS. I use to listen to Medulla on repeat. My only complaint about that album is there were a few songs that I always skipped that I thought maybe would have worked better as B-sides. I think "Oceania" is one of the best songs she's ever recorded.
Volta had to grow on, but once it did I had it in frequent rotation. Biophilia was the first Bjork album that I couldn't listen to from start to finish casually. There's a handful of songs on there that I really like; the rest are songs that didn't even grow on me, I wasn't feeling the arrangement of the music. I do own Biophilia on wax though because I wanted to listen to it on the turntable for the first time.
I'm a huge fan of nearly all her material, even the KUKL and Sugarcubes stuff.
Here's a funny aside: I posted the song for Console's 'Crabcraft' (here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9GUFpneXKg ) on YouTube for other Bjork fans to enjoy. I kind of found an "easter egg" when I imported Vespertine into my iTunes many years ago when 'Heirloom' showed up with 'Crabcraft' as the title. After conferring with howisya (still the resident Bjork expert; I don't give a damn is he's not actively posting anymore), I discovered where 'Heirloom' came from. Anywho, just received a notice a few minutes ago because somebody posted a comment on the video that says "bjork is a hack." YouTube comments are thoroughly unnecessary.
I always appreciated the spunky little Bjorkster and her no-nonsense attitude. As well as her Icelandic gibberish over far out space shit. She an OG. No doubt about it.
