Glassnote head Daniel Glass confirms follow-up to 2009's 'Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix'
December 6, 2012 4:10 PM ET French indie-rockers Phoenix have finished the follow-up to their 2009 breakout album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. It should be released in April, said Daniel Glass – head of the group's label, Glassnote – at today's Spotify event.
Glass tossed out the Phoenix announcement at the very end of the conversation, mentioning that he'd just gotten off the phone with the band and that they had completed the record in a Paris studio.
Phoenix have been working on this next record since 2011. While no official title has been announced yet, it could be TPC, based on some artwork that appears on the band's website.
