So I'm on an e-mail chain with a bunch of buddies called "Jam of the week". We all naturally have differing musical tastes and each week someone's in charge of collecting the songs, finding a venue to listen to them online, and sending the e-mail out on Friday. Most weeks, the leader comes up with some sort of theme for the week, recent examples being "guilty pleasure jams," "tragic jams," and "jams from a show you recently attended."
Anyway, this week's theme is "time." Very generic, very basic. I have a couple ideas in mind but I don't think they really encompass the theme totally. Mine are Slick Rick's "Memories," Common's "Time Travelin'," and The Roots "Long Time," the first being more a childhood reminiscing track and the latter two just having "time" in the title and not really pertaining to "time" itself, at all.
So ... I'm looking for some assistance. I'm hoping to be reminded of a track about "time" that I'm just not thinking of off the top of my head (or through iTunes "time" search) that will have me on some "that's the one I was looking for" shit...I'm not gonna pick a track I didn't know previously to submit, but any recommendations that I haven't heard I will listen to and maybe it'll open the door to new music for me which is good, too. Kill two birds with one stone with this post.
So yea any assistance is appreciated. Feel free to just tell me a song and post up a link, or talk about it if you want. Just looking for ideas. Thanks ----------------------------------------
