I mean, really?

Nirvana is better than PE?

Is that so?

Lol @ acting as if it is completely ridiculous to have Nirvana right ahead of PE.

Both were great acts with huge impact regardless of your opinion on music.

And the list did say "greatest" so impact plays a big role. One could argue Nirvana is too low.

Benson, or Eric B & Rakim in any way.

I'm a 2Pac fan, and this is OKP, so it's no shocker that he's #96 on here, but still.

El-P is dope, and once again, this is OKP...but one spot behind NWA? And above so many others? Shit.

It's O....never mind that again, so I'll accept Roots over Wu.

Kanye over Run DMC....eh.

As said, the Top 25-30 is pretty good, and the way it was conducted, makes sense that it would be questionable after that range.

Van Morrison, regardless of the list, is criminal under appreciated.

I could be in any mood and put on either Sly or Van and be good.

Other than that, the list is what it is.

Bob Dylan should be in the top 5 period and Neil Young has the deepest catalogue in my opinion and should be in the top 10.

It was a good way to kill time during flights

I will say

the top 20-25 is pretty solid

some of the outliers

like > 50 or 60

might not have had as many votes, and just been on the list by mere mention on a list or 2

that is to say

most of the lists ranked the artists in the top 20-25

so those rankings are solid.

If you can't understand it without an explanation

you can't understand it with an explanation

and I can easily see where my picks/placements had that exact effect!

Still, it was a cool idea and in the end a pretty revealing list came out of it, showing that at the heart of it the Lesson's got (or had, anyway) pretty good and very eclectic taste.
