as far as using the internet to fill the void, most old videos are pixelated if on youtube at all. there have been some good videos in the post-mtv era, but either the music borders on crap or the product placement ruins it, as this video highlights. i think every interscope video has beats by dre headphones contractually.

...plus Viacom owns MTV, VH1, & BET.
Also MTV2, MTV3, & BET all shows videos, not a lot but they do show them, and they do show the same bullshit that made me stop watching these channels in the first place.
