"Prince invited Andre Cymone to jam with him on "Dance Electric""


          

The biggest news of the night for veteran Prince fans was when he invited bassist (and one-time band member) André Cymone to jam with him on The Dance Electric, a Prince-penned song which André released on his third solo album, A.C., in 1985, having left Prince’s band in 1981.

I really liked the time Andre was in Prince's live band.

and Andre's first album is an underrated work of art, IMO. more than anything else he recorded, it should more promise (and independence) than anyone else who broke from The House of Prince back then.

"Dance Electric" was one of the most obvious "Prince" songs there ever was, but Dre kept it nice and blanketed on that A.C. album with similarly sounding music.
