"I almost dont want Kendrick Lamar to be famous but I want him to be,"

because at this very moment...is when I like my artist the most....full of raw energy....then somehow the industry gets a hold of them and all of the wack outside influences, influence them....the change in life style...more money...more screaming women....and thats when the music suffers...it almost never fails....I just hope he keeps his sound, in-house...lets hope this album opens up the lane for more creative music today so he doesnt feel hes fighting against the the sound of today and become bitter (see Lupe)....the industry is the worst thing to happen to rappers....lets see, though.

suffers due to tryin to cater to a bigger fan-base is when you lose me....I want artist to be able to be successful without having to compromise themselves as artist. Chasing a commercial sound should never have to be an ultimate goal for an artist

He's a niche rapper.

He can make the music he wants to make because
the general public isn't too enthralled.
