I'm one of the few people in my crew who actually enjoys listening to instrumentals and enjoys them just as much as the actually song. I don't think cats realize how much you miss in the music when someone is singing or rapping on top of it. I came across Raphael Saadiq's instrumentals for his "Ray Ray" album and wanted to share. But was wondering what albums do ya'll wish ya'll had the instrumentals to or what are your fave insturmental albums that you do have? And by any chance anyone has anymore Saadiq instrumentals, PLEASE hook a brother up with some links! Especially for Instant Vintage or Stone Rollin'...

Already had some of these from the 12"s, but I've always wanted the Detroit Girl Instr. Good looks!
As for my favorite instrumental albums, I always find myself going back to the Like Water For Chocolate instrumentals (mostly Dilla), those Tribe instrumental bootlegs, Amplified (Dilla again), and the Fantastic Vol. 2 instrumentals (Dilla's best work imo.)
Oh, also the ATLiens and Aquemini instrumental versions are incredible works on their own.

i didn't know that. Even if the album is my least favorite, it had some deadly basslines (I Love Her, Ray Ray joint, Chic). The other thing i don't think he gets appreciation for is his crazy string arrangements, which he had on Ray Ray. So yeah, now i want the instrumentals album too lol

- Below The Heavens - All Foreign Exchange albums (i know Connected has an instrumental LP) - All Jamiroquai albums - Amel Larrieux's Infinite Possibilities - Reflection Eternal: Train of Thought - All Midnight Band albums, especially Pieces of a Man & Bridges (so people can REALLY appreciate Brian Jackson's brilliance) - Panacea: A Mind on a Ship Thru Time

- Below The Heavens (nope, because Blu & Exile don't like easy money...you would've thought that when they re-released the album on fat beats last year they would add the instros, but nope) - All Foreign Exchange albums (i know Connected has an instrumental LP) - Reflection Eternal: Train of Thought
