It deserves a more dedicated listen from me. BTH was an album that you could just play and every now and then pick a lyric from and think, "damn, that was good," or it would just kind of grab your attention. The beats in this one are nice, and real chill. They're good for background music, but nothing grabs my attention and really makes me listen. The one time I did give it a dedicated listen I thought it was nice as shit, and it seemed like Blu got a little more existential than he was on BTH. Kind of a nice sequel.
All in all, it didn't grab me like BTH, but it seems that the writing is just as good. It just requires a more dedicated listen.

I nabbed it on vinyl and it sounds like butter from start to finish. Warm mastering...total ear candy. Blu slayed it. I think its every bit as good as BTH and a nice logical progression forward.

I love the More Out of Life-The Only One sequence. Maybe One Day is great too, just wish Blu didn't recycle his verse from the Dela song. Money sounds like Juicen' Dranks Part 2, probably my least favourite beat on the album. LOVE Growing Pains, that's a fun track.
Not gonna bother comparing this with BTH, but it's definitely a worthy follow-up imo.
