Or maybe I didn't give a big enough fuck about this iPad's mistakes when responding to you.

And just in case you still don't get it...clocking apostrophes on a message board is the epitome of miserable.

I'll take "Starsailor" or "Happysad" or "Goodbye and hello" over Jeff anyday. That being said, I do think Tim at elast on his earlier albums were channeling female folk-singer Odetta a lot with his voice and if that is yodelling, so be it...

But yeah, Buckley is so goddamn good. He is continuously praised for his voice, but his guitar playing and song structure is what made me as big of a fan as I am.

sometimes i feel that's the sound all those shitty bands Pitchfork and Fader have bigged up (for the past decade), try to aim for, but they aint got the vocals/moxi/swagger to pull it off. Buckley is vulnerable but also masculine and has the ability to write real songs, not songs that romanticize the experience of love and loss

than even the thought of a lame ass biopic. Fuck.All.That.Schitt.

I understand a lot of folks are put off by the masturbatory sea of swoon unit fans...

but the musician, singer, songwriter that that kid actually was...

I've said it before, I'll say it again cause the Lesson don't like to hear it from me (oh, but they do try to bite my style) :

JEFF BUCKLEY WAS THE LAST BAD ASS WHITEBOY!!!!

Thom Yorke & Co., Chris Cornell & Co., all them motherfuckers covering "Hallelujah" know that white nigga was coming after the "Darryl Hall Soul Power Achievement Award ™", which was rightfully his.

...now look at all of them, lost. Waiting for Justin Timberlake to do some more of those horribly nasal Stevie Wonder/Michael Jackson blackface productions.

They (Tickle Me Elmo Ass Gumps) can't fuck with the schitt on "For My Sweetheart the Drunk", cause they're still digesting "Grace", and don't see anybody else with balls enough to go in "Sky Is A Landfill" territory. Imagine those pussyhead bitches downloading some Peter Gabriel era Genesis because of "Back In New York City". What's it been 10-12 yrs?

s.blak
Yeah, naw.

You sound like me talking about Morrissey.

You are blinded by deeply-suppressed homo love.

I was wasted and depressed in OCMD one weekend. Everybody I was with was Wifey Boo'd up, and I was fresh outta getting kicked to the curb by my girl. We all get wasted and everybody pairs up. I walk off back to the hotel where one couple is getting it in. So I throw on my trunks and leave a msg on a paper plate that reads....

"Went Swimming. If not back by sunrise, call search & rescue."

I go out to the beach and start hitting the waves. The undertow was stronger than I have ever felt it. But I was playing in the water like a madman at 4am.... when it hits me. "You have not created anything half as good as Buckley. If you die, you are just a drunk asshole." I walked out of the ocean, sat on the beach for a bit.... collected my thoughts and promised myself that I would hustle harder to create something that left a mark.

Mind you, I swung and missed time and time again on that goal. But I didn't die a drunk asshole. I have Jeff Buckley to thank for that.

2010-11, I was heavily listening to Jeff Buckley, more than I'd ever have before.

This is one of my most favorite things ever recorded:

Jeff Buckley- "You & I"

I remember the first few times I heard it, I didn't know what to make of it. Was just so strange sounding. At one point something clicked and now I lose my mind to it.

"This way of life is so devised to snuff out
the mind that moves
Moving with grace the men despise
and women have learned to lose
Throw off your shame or be a slave to the system"
