I'm not sure what to make out of it yet. Maybe it's just too early in the morning for me to properly process music, but a few of the track do sound really good (Sleeping Ute is still the standout).

I been waiting on this since that Dan Rossen EP earlier this year (or was it last year?). Wish there was a 320 rip though...

This album is serene. Just ridiculously good. So glad I listened with headphones the first go around, and 2nd and 3rd.

The piano chord progression at 4:23 of Sun In Your Eyes kept me from sleeping tip 4:30 am. I kept listening over and over. This record has some of my favourite elements of Yellow House without ever feeling overtly murky. It's a very bright record with some incredibly intense moments.

First daytime listen occurring right now.

Because Veckatimest may be my favorite of that year. It's definitely my favorite from them.

while still pushing themselves to new heights. It has the murky dissonant moments of yellow house along with the bright shimmering moments from Veckatimest. I cannot honestly believe any fan of Veckatimest and Yellow House that will not love this album. It does not stray from their sound in the slightest, but never sounds redundant.

Wow. And yeah, Yellow house had some great moments, but it seemed to drag at points for me, but it seems like they took the best elements from that record and synthesized them perfectly with Veckatimest.

This album is beautiful. Grizzly Bear manages to get better and better with each LP. They're going to have a strong career.

The dash of extra force and direction, and scaling back the pure space in the process was the right way to go. The SOUND of it is analog heaven.


And letting words flow a bit more freely has helped rein in their more esoteric writing habits, & make the album as a whole the most lyrically accessible yet.

listening to it right now. A Simple Answer is the standout IMO. But its all really good.

They were great, and boy is "Sun in Your Eyes" amazing live.

It might be my favorite album this year.
