copped a rental this past week while my truck was in the shop, came w/ sirius, which caught me by surprise
im a mid to late 30s dude...mostly listen to the radio, or plug my cell in & listen to what i got on there...even occasionally still pop in a cd (that shit went the way of the do-do quick right? few more yrs & kids wont even know what a cd is)
but this satellite shit..not bad.
sway morning show on shade 45 had me rolling, tho it took me a minute to get used to hearing curse words all on the radio
there should be like a love jones station, inbetween the 60s/70s soul station & the "contemporary r&b" station (whatever it was called) that plays like...some gil scott heron, MJB, mariah...james brown & KING for example
overall tho...i think i might have to go ahead & cop a subscription
I plug it into my car and ride out or take it on the train now that I take that to work.
I pretty much refuse to pay for subscription to radio. Just don't want the extra expense. tired of paying for cable, but it works for the rest of the fam.

Ipod and podcasts are my main rotation sources, esp when I'm driving/at work. At home, my physical copies,,,well, whats left of them since I sold 3/4 of my collection.

I'd say half the time I'm in my car, I still listen to CDs (listen to them before ripping them). But regardless, only time I use the radio is for news on the A's game.
Oh, I forgot: when I'm at home, it's almost always CDs. Sit on the couch with the 200 CD changer playing, drinking lemonade, reading a book. That's heaven.

I'll do Pandora a few times a year, but in general I like to choose what I listen to as opposed to letting someone or something else pick songs that I SHOULD like based on my preferences/likes.

i don't really count the ipod connected to my car audio setup because i'm not really doing much close listening as my main station above. it's more like background music.
i have a vinyl setup, too, but since i stopped buying records, it hardly gets any play. i would probably rate this setup the highest in terms of sound quality if i still used it regularly, but alas most music i get is FLAC or mp3.
i'll listen to CDs once in a while, but it sucks that i don't have too many store bought CDs. they're mainly mp3s ripped onto discs and sometimes sound like crap. actual CD sound quality is way better sounding than lossy or lossless files to me. or it could be my associated gear.

I consume music by putting the needle on the lp. turn it up at full blast volume and you can hear and feel every instrument in the songs especially if you have nice system.
