Luther and Freddie weren't losing any sleep and neither were james ingram or jeffrey osbourne. he was a better studio singer and artist than live imo 1)

and this cat had 10 grooves just like that and he is who whom you thought could have done a better job with Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones on Thriller? thanks for making me laugh and those generic mj tracks for Lilo Thomas are laughing right back you 2)

I enjoyed Kashif's band and show more than any of them. Only one I never saw live was Freddie and I'm doubtful he was better... maybe for a nap but that's about it.

Thanks for the link Tape

Yes sir! We all know Kashif wasn't a great vocalist but he wrote some tight jams. What I love about this video is the band jamming. I wish Kashif would have jumped on the keyboards for a solo. Could one of you mods edit my title? I meant to write "on Video Soul".

and he knew how to translate that to a live show.

Freddie Jackson? He made shoulder pads more popular than the NFL... you cannot be serious with those horrible R&B songs... horrible cheesy ass horn playing... wack ass keys presets... he was the worst.

I won't start on how he and he alone saved the LipGloss & Chapstick industry. Jesus.

Or is it simply somebody who looks like her?

I have to say, I'm really impressed. Usually, boogie songs(or early 80s R&B songs of that style) don't really sound that good live, but this one does, and it does a WHOLE lot, thanks to that tight band of his.

And who said that Kashif was supposed to be a tour-de-force vocalist? We knew that he his prowess laid in his production more than his singing abilities. But I gotta say, I ALWAYS love that 82-83 period of R&B, he and Jacques Petrus had the New York scene on lock @ the time, I imagine lol,,,,

Great find.

Cool! He and other musicians were playing the actual music on that album. Some folks think it was a lot of programming. That's why this performance rocks.
