Woop woop! The greasepaint-and-Faygo bacchanal known as the 13th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos has finally announced the lineup for its lost-in-the-woods rapstravaganga. The two dudes in Insane Clown Posse are more intense hip-hop nerds than your average blogger (as evidenced by Violent J curating our essential Halloween rap feature), and as usual, their whimsical bill of rap legends is like the world's greatest mixtape playing in the somnambulant expanses of an Illinois forest. This year they were kind enough to reunite the classic lineup of accidental horrorcore pioneers the Geto Boys (that's Scarface, Bushwick Bill, and expert Twitterer Willie D) alongside '80s and '90s heavy hitters: DMX, Three 6 Mafia, Raekwon, Kool Keith, Biz Markie, the Fat Boys, the Pharcyde, Onyx, Master P, Mack 10, and Awesome Dre among others. The Juggalos are also way up on the New Hip-Hop Underground, as our favorite rapper of 2011 Danny Brown joins Rittz and Tech N9ne. Plus George Clinton is gonna take these evil clowns on a sweet chariot ride! See you at Lake Hepatitis!

Seriously tho; they've been throwing a pretty heavy hip-hop festival for a minute...probably kept a few MC's mouths fed during the lean years also since the acts they sign are in their twilight years of their careers.

I wouldn't go as far as to call myself a Juggalo, but I was, as they say, "Down with the clown." A guy I know, his band plays the Gathering every year, and I can't lie... one of these days I'm gonna ask him if I can ride along. This line up almost pushed me over the edge.

and seem to be genuinely cool as human beings...I can't really hate. Yeah, the music may suck & the image is pretty laughable, but you could say the same thing about a bunch of popular acts who have undeserved and manufactured fame. Dudes hustled hard.

I googled how much people go to this thing...something like 20,000 people go to the middle of nowhere, far from any real roads and infrastructure, that's wild to me. They gathered enough money to be able to pay real rappers to come. It shows that every movement needs strong support and that support will make amazing things happen. Alot of left-of0center black movements can learn from these weirdos.

cant stand the music, the fact that they came out as hardcore christians baffles my mind, the hickish makeup of their fanbase + the makeup is vaguely unsettling and certainly bizarre...

but look at this list and think of what these guys have accomplished. i dont see how it could ever make any sense to me.
