Big L let us know more than a decade ago that “if you 7:30, that means you crazy” and Jackson, Mississippi native Marques Phillips aka 7even:Thirty can definitely be described as such. The youthful fireball injects eccentricity into every bar, combining the down-home wisdom of his region with a deranged style not born on this planet. Simply put, 7evenThirty is a bold new artist with an old-school soul.
Mello Music Group is ecstatic to announce 7even:Thirty as the newest addition to its roster. The Tasmanian devil of rhyme will be working on a collaborative album with The Imperial Gensu Dean but prior to that he’ll be dropping the concept album Heaven’s Computer on September 25th. Creative and innovative, 7even continues MMG’s legacy of forward thinking hip-hop music that never loses its connections to the roots of the culture.
The new album Heaven's Computer is coming 9.25.12
While 7even’s conceptual concoction finishes brewing, dig into Late Night Sessions, a collection of recordings from 7even’s early days that we are offering for free. The project features original songs as well as traditional mixtape ‘freestyles’ over other’s beats. For the uninitiated, this is the perfect introduction into the deranged, introspective, but above all, dope world of 7evenThirty. You’ll be hearing much more of this young firebrand soon, so don’t sleep.

I'm so proud of my brother, words can't express. Known him since strollers and I produced a 3rd of his upcoming album. Beyond excited.

I swiped that from the announcement email like everybody else lol. Like I said at the end, I am involved in this particular project as a producer and I'm very proud of my brother from another mother.
hadn't really been over the show within the past year and a half though because of the album, but I passed it off to the cat that does the show with me. Not sure if he ever played it though. If not when I get back on it I'll do it.
