At first I was a little disappointed Awkward would be doing all the production. Not that I dislike his production, but I wasn't sure I wanted to hear it every song, especially since he seems to stray away from any sample based stuff. Wanted more Dak and Ras G collaborations.

But the snippets have sold me.

really enjoying it so far. i'm getting a strong project blowed vibe from him. lyrics born, too. that 2nd verse on "art rap party" is ridiculous

more than the album that preceded it. This has an electronic funky sound to it, while Rappers Will Die was more of a beat scene sampler on the production.

I usually like Mike's stuff but he's sounded a little forced at times in the past. Not the case with this album though. Production is consistently good. I'm ready for a new Nocando album too.

this shit depresses me. and i don't think it's just the content. i think it's his voice. like he's nice as shit, got bars for days, but after giving three tries (album) i realize his shit brings me down and don't think it's gonna get better. kinda related to what i said about ab-soul interestingly enough. at least with ab there's a sense that he's trying to do better for himself. i get the idea eagle is perfectly content in his discontent. and his humor is so dry it doesn't help.
