"Where the E-40 fans at? In A Major Way Appreciation Thread"

Man, this albums still sounds so great. 40 is a league of his own with his lingo, flow and slang. That nigga got one of the most unique voices in Hip Hop and his flow, man his flow is something else. He really does have his own style. E-40 to me is the definition of original, and stays doing his own thing. His lyrics and production on this album were a perfect match and 40 and his guest appearance all did their thing on this album. This is one of those albums that just flows perfect and evenly.

Hell yeah.

"In A Major Way" is 40 at his peak.

Kids these days talk about "oh this the slap" or "this shit go!" about any old radio song, "mixtape", or bootsy ass album that gets released.

Nah mann... THIS is that SLAP.. THIS GOES.

Mike Moseley, Studio Tone, Sam Bostic, etc on the beats???

This was and is the soundtrack to many a backyard bbq, park picnic, and/or house party from the mid-90's to this very day.

Pretty much.

Droop-E and Mike Mosely's former protegee Rick Rock have been supplying the beat lately..

Is 40 still fuckin' with Lil Jon? I liked the shit he had on Ghetto Report Card.

to 40 a couple years after... In a Major Way is still my favorite album from 40...

This is the one album I go to when people try saying E-40 is wack... How could you listen to that album and come back with 40 is wack??

That shit is the soundtrack every time me and all my cousins get together... Seems like always someone has a copy on them (or an iPod now)...

Sideways is and will forever be the cut... I've gotten drunk to that album so many times... I just associate that shit with drinking now...

My favorite memory from that era was right after the album had dropped. The Capitol City Throwdown at Arco Arena. That was off the chains!

Ice Cube
E-40 & The Click
Brotha Lynch Hung
MC Eiht
Da Brat
RBL Posse
Dru Down
Primo
Marvelous
Herm Johnson

Here's a mix I made of my favorite E-40 & the Click songs from that time:
