"Can we revisit Trapped in the Closet?"

I recently watched all 22 Chapters after originally only seeing about a quarter of them.

How crazy do you have to be to produce some shit like that? I mean not even Tyler Perry's delusions of grandeur could produce something like that. If I didn't question R. Kelly's mental stability before; I sure the hell am now.

And now he's reviving it?

Because it was the work of a clearly insane person.

Really funny stuff.

all rolled into one and matching voices with characters. Genius and and great insane fun.

that project is what he does on his spare time as a hobby.

meanwhile his full time work load consists of his career and Projects

then projects for others.

i think its a incredible outlet for him. nobody else could have done what he did and made you Look.

i applaud that because he did something real left field and had people talking. can't think of many acts 15 years deep into there career that can still make you talk about there song or project as he had people talking about that back in 05.

the depth of musical vision and concepts he has are endless.

he could have turned trapped in the closet into a Monopoly game and I bet you would be having people flipping dice and still playing it.

i like how he just does what he wants and he doesn't care what his audience thinks and he just does as he pleases and keeps it moving.

he is a funny dude and laughs at himself and yet makes you think.

I can respect that take on it. I, of course, have technical criticisms, but at least he took the initiative to do something different.

Nominate that bullshit as the worst recording of all-time.

And I can add that anyone who finds any kind of redeeming quality in it, lacks intelligence to some degree.

He didn't get me back until the Untitled album, so there's a good 5 year period where his new music didn't exist to me.

for years and i think it was a very interesting move he went there with the concept and also things are crazy out here.

nobody else could have made that work and he has always had storys within his songs which lead to other things.

alot of people don't see how complex ARRRUH!!!!! is

the full storyline, etc.. speaks volumes and folks either were cool with it or they weren't however he had people talking about it and that is what any artist trying to make a Statement does.

i mean it became iconic all on itself. "South park", madd tv and other places did there own spin on it.

Hate all you want but Kellz had folks talking and checking it out.
